With little more than blind faith and big plans,

I opened the doors of

The Carmel Florist

Now, almost two decades later

My dream still exists

My customers remain the fuel

So...why a flower shop?

Life just happens.  You know?

I always knew what I wanted to do when I grew-up.  Raise a family.  Beyond that, I had no plan.

For many years I was a stay-home mommy creating masterpieces out of playdough and discovering the many uses for construction paper and pipe cleaners.

I LOVED each and every moment of it.  If I could freeze time, it would be when my children were young and I was  able to watch them wake-up every morning and tuck them into bed each night. But...

Life evolves...

Children grow....

And so do pricetags!! 

So, as my husband and I had not (and still haven't) won the lottery or received a very large cash gift from an anonymous admirer, it became time for Mommy to join the working masses!

But doing what?  Most companies weren't looking for an expert in paper chain creations. Soooo....

I got a job doing bookwork for a local flower shop and would often lend an extra pair of hands during busy times. I quickly discovered that I loved working with flowers and creating beautiful arrangments for others to enjoy. Then, to my surprise, I realized that I not only enjoyed floral design, but that I was really good at it!

So...fast forward...The Carmel Florist was born.

And I thought that I was finished having children!!
